was recently honored by the Financial Planning Association of San Diego® with the Heart of Financial Planning Award. The award was presented by former City Council President Tony Young.
The Heart of Financial Planning Award recognizes financial planning professionals who engage in extraordinary work, contributing and giving back to the financial planning community and public through financial planning. Recipients embody the spirit of financial planning and also represent FPA’s Core Values: Competence, Integrity, Relationships and Stewardship.
Jon is a dedicated volunteer and advocate who is committed to helping underserved individuals with personal finance skills and education. He has been a key person in the development of FPA San Diego’s Pro Bono programs for military service members and the homeless. In 2011, he co-founded The Professional Alliance for Children, a charity that serves the families of ill children by aligning professionals to provide free legal and financial advice on matters related to their care.
