Protecting Yourself and Loved Ones from Financial Exploitation

The May 28th Wise Women Luncheon was titled, “Protecting Yourself and Loved Ones from Financial Exploitation.”

The event focused on educating women about the risks of financial scams, fraud and theft, and on ways to avoid becoming a victim. The group learned tips on selecting handymen and in-home caregivers, and how to deal with crooks and fraudsters who use trickery to perpetrate crimes.

The presentation also gave information on ways to prevent identity theft, as well as ways to monitor one’s accounts and credit report for the presence of fraud.
